The Teslin-Yukon River was one of the routes used by the Klondike goldrushers of 1897-99 to reach the goldfields of Dawson. As such, there are historical reminders of a period that saw the movement of people and sternwheelers along banks once dotted with wood camps, mining works, and trading centers.
